When you visit our website, our Internet provider will by default capture the following standard data exclusively for statistical purposes:
The data that is collected will be used for the technical administration of the website. The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest under Art. 6 Paragraph 1 Clause 1 Letter f GDPR.
The collection or transmission of personal data to state institutions and authorities will be done solely within the framework of mandatory national legal provisions, for which Art. 6 Paragraph 1 Clause 1 Letter c GDPR constitutes the legal basis.
The individual visitor will remain anonymous.
No such data shall be passed on to third parties, either for commercial or non-commercial use. ADL will also not link visitors to the access data mentioned above either.
What are cookies and how do we use them?
Cookies are small text files which are transmitted to your computer from the Internet together with the data that has been actually requested. This data is stored there and kept ready for subsequent retrievals of the websites.
Our Internet provider uses temporary session cookies to track visitor preferences during a session and to optimise the design of the website accordingly. The use of session cookies is based on our legitimate interest as the operator of the website.
Validity of cookies
The validity of cookies is limited to the duration of your visit to our website. They are automatically deleted when you close the browser. There is no linking with personal data and no inferences can be drawn about the activities of a user.
Cookies are used temporarily to optimise our websites. The usage information generated by the cookies will not be passed on to third parties; they will remain with the Internet provider.
You can prevent the use and storage of cookies by setting up your browser software accordingly. In that case, you may no longer be able to use all functions of the website to their full extent because your browser software will block the storage of all cookies.
This website does not use any web analytics services to evaluate a user's activities, nor does it use any links to social networking sites.
There are some links to other websites that refer to domains in Germany:

http://www.berger-schmidt.de/
in the EU:
http://www.gregorschuster.de/,
https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr
https://kit.fontawesome.com/
and the United States:
https://stock.adobe.com/de
https://maps.googleapis.com/maps/
https://goo.gl/maps/
The "stock.adobe.com" link points to Adobe Corp., a provider of photographs for use in designing websites or other advertising media. The other two links refer to the company Google LLC, which operates the Google Maps service.
On the Directions page, under the Contact page, we have included Google Maps and entered the location of ADL. There will be no automatic transfer of data to Google unless you use the "View in Google Maps" function. If you select the "View in Google Maps" function, data will be collected, transmitted, stored and used by Google. The data will be transferred to, stored and used in Ireland and probably also in the United States, regardless of your domicile. The ADL does not have any influence on the processing of data by Google, the manner in which this data is processed, used or passed on to third parties and does not possess any means of control this either.
Our website has an option for contacting us quickly via an e-mail link, for example in the footer section of the website. If you use this link, the e-mail program that is configured at your workplace will open, with the ADL e-mail address entered. If you contact us of your own accord via e-mail, any personal data that you enter will be transmitted without encryption, since the e-mail protocol does not allow encryption by default. In principle, if no encryption is used when information is used while exchanging information via e-mail, the communication/transmission can be read by unauthorized persons on the Internet.
Furthermore, there is a contact form that you can access through the Contact link at the top right or through a separate link on the respective page. It will be necessary to mention a contact person, the company, a phone number, an e-mail address and a message text (reason for contacting). The website uses the https-protocol, with which data that is entered on the contact form is encrypted and transmitted securely.
The information and/or documents sent by e-mail will be forwarded to the data controller at ADL for processing. The personal data, for example, the name, address, e-mail address or telephone number of a data subject, will be processed in accordance with the GDPR and the applicable country-specific data protection regulations.
With the voluntary transfer of your personal data, you agree to the processing and use of your data for a specific purpose. It will not be passed on to third parties.
On the Vacancies page, you can find out about the current vacancies at ADL and the respective job postings. Here you can download the details of the job posting in PDF format.
We recommend that you apply for jobs in writing, as documents sent by conventional mail are legally protected. If you send us your application documents by e-mail on a voluntary basis, the application documents you send us will not be transmitted in encrypted form, as the e-mail protocol does not allow this by default. In principle, when documents are sent/transferred by e-mail, they can be read and evaluated by unauthorised persons on the Internet.
Personal data which we receive by e-mail or which we collect is deleted routinely on expiry of defined deadlines, unless they are necessary for the fulfilment of the contract, the initiation of a contract, or for meeting other legal requirements. The criterion for the duration for which personal data is stored is defined by the respective legal retention period, which is defined, for example, as "10 years, plus the current year" for commercial data/documents (tax legislation).
